Basic facts of the falmingos:
1.Large wading bird,lives in big,shallow lakes,lagoons,mangrove swamps, tidal flats,and on sandy islands.
2.Found in Africa, Asia, North America, Central America, South America, and Europe.
3.Flamingos live in groups called colonies.
4.Their pink or reddish color comes from the algae, diatoms, and small crustaceans the birds eat.They also eat aquatic insects.
5.Flamingos live an average of 20 to 30 years.
6.Flamingos eat with their head upside down in the water,so they can suck water and food. Hold breath when wadding with their beaks in the water.

The animal i choosed for my biology blog was the flamingo. The flamingo is a long-legged bird that has an excellent mix of pink and orange making this large bird unique in any part of the world.I choosed the flamingo by the reason is that they are so mysterious in their structure & love to see them in the zoo.
